![]() Mount Cook National ParkAoraki Mount Cook is New Zealand's tallest mountain, standing at a magnificent 3754 metres and surrounded by the highest mountains and largest glaciers in the country. The area formally became a national park in 1953, although reserves were established as early as 1887 in order to protect the vegetation and natural beauty of the landscape. It is also a sacred site to the Maori people, who see the mountains as ancestors. The spectacular scenery of wild, snow-capped peaks makes Aoraki Mount Cook National Park one of the world's most stunning destinations and we have arranged a special two-night stay here so guests can relax and soak up the splendour of the surroundings of this World Heritage wilderness.
